ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nia King is a writer and editor with a body of work spanning 20 years. She is best known for her three-volume book series, Queer & Trans Artists of Color, and her podcast, We Want the Airwaves. She started the podcast back in 2013 (before it was cool), and hosted, edited, and produced it for 10 years.
She has been interviewed by several media outlets, spoken at many colleges and conferences, and held readings in bookstores and libraries from coast to coast. While living in Oakland, CA she was recognized with a Best of the East Bay Award in 2016 and a #BayBrilliant Award in 2018. Before making books and podcasts, she made zines, comics, a blog, and a short film. She lives in Philadelphia.
